Ulrike Lienbacher
born in Oberndorf (A) in 1963
1981-87 studies at the University of Music and Dramatic
Arts Mozarteum, Salzburg (A); lives in Vienna and Salzburg(A).
This artist reflects on the constraints arising as a result of
the social norms of everyday life as well as the tensions between
these
regimentations and personal fantasies of disentanglement and
transgression. The themes of control and discipline can also
be found in her mode
of practice: the exactly applied line in her drawings, the rigor
and seriality in her sculptures and photographs.
