Leopold Kessler

Born in Munich (D) in 1976;
1998 - 2004 Academy of Fine Arts Vienna (A) (Heimo Zobernig);
lives and works in Vienna (A).

With his interventions the artist investigates both barriers and regularities in the public space. By interfering on a small scale, such as integrating remote-controlled switches in street lamps, he interrupts and supplements the circulation of everyday life and calls attention to ironical offshoots and their initiators likewise.
